Wednesday, the middle of the week, who came up with “hump day” anyhow. I could give you some answers but the misses would tell me people don’t understand when I’m joking. Anyhow, it’s September 21st and the official first day of fall this year is the 23rd. Did you know it changes every year? There you go, you learned something today.
Yesterday the boys had a good day at school and I picked them up about 15 minutes early to head over to the dermatologist. Chelsey (one of our dermatologist/friends) gave us some cream for the trip, checked out the little guys leg and froze off a bunch of bumps on the oldest ones elbows. He was really brave and earned some ice cream for being so. Mom was slammed at work. I stopped by and she didn’t have time to breathe it was so busy. She arrived home a little after 5 right on cue. I was cleaning up the kitchen and then she threw some chicken and pizza in the oven.
Today she’s off and still getting some much needed rest. It’s still getting cool outside and is refreshing in the morning when I go get the paper. I need to run to get a haircut the morning and the misses is also going to the dermatologist. We should both be back by noon at the latest. I know there’s more to write but I don’t really have the energy to jump into politics. Not much has changed, the country is still broke, dems and republicans are still fighting like school kids, and the rest of the World isn’t doing much better. Look out because Greece could default anytime now, they (Europe) can’t keep throwing money at it, it’s just not working.
Oh well, whatever will happen will happen. I’ll try to get the misses to write some when she comes down so you can hear what she’s been up to. I just woke her up and here she comes.
Good morning, both dogs are in the house. Â The big dog is resting on my feet…yes, on my feet not at my feet. I have to say his fur is warmer than slippers.
Another day off to clean house. Â It seems the house never stays clean. The clutter…homework, sweatshirts, shoes, junk mail, etc. is never ending. Did I mention dog hair? So, my morning will start with de-cluttering, cleaning bathrooms and chasing dog hair. Â Wish me luck. I also need to exercise the pups and myself sometime today.
The boys were on their scooters and bikes for a couple of hours as usual with a quick “Pit stop” for dinner. I once again blended a couple of peeled zucchini into the marinara sauce and they were none the wiser. I’m sure at some point when they read this they will say “Mom” with two syllables. Oh well, I do what I can do.
