100 days left

There’s 100 or 101 days left in the year, my how time flies. Here’s a bunch of small paragraphs today on different subjects. ready, set, go,

We all went up to Grandma’s last night for some chili and a last visit with Tasha and Aviak and her new boyfriend who Grandma calls Darrell. (his name is actually Derrick) Today they fly to St Louis for 3 or 4 days before heading back to Hawaii. Little Aviak, who’s 4 years old, sure is a cutie.

Yesterday we stopped in to tell each of the boys teachers about our upcoming trip to make sure we get homework and other instructions to keep the boys on track. All their teachers were very supportive and said they’re not worried about either of the boys missing time at all. In fact some said not to take any homework. We will keep daily reading, math and spelling going just to make sure we don’t fall back at all. We’re all getting excited to go and are planning out our days.

Our trip to the passport agency was pretty painless. We left at 7:20 for the long drive across town and arrived about 8:10. Our appointment was for 8:30 but they took us in right away. After about 10 minutes we were out the door and told our passports would arrive in 3 to 5 days by mail. We had the boys to school by 9:20 so overall they just missed an hour. I need to send Grandma’s in and get it renewed so she can take a trip with us next year. We hope she’ll be up for it by then.

Lacey our lab had us up at 1:30 with an itchy ear and again at 4:45. Looks like we need to take her in to get some ear infection medicine. Both dogs could also use a trip to the groomer as well.

Today after school I’m taking both boys to the dermatologist. The little guys leg (poison ivy or whatever) is still bothering him and the oldest has bumps all over his elbows. The misses works today from 9:30 until 5 so we should all arrive home just about the same time.

It’s much cooler today with the high in the mid 60’s so the snow can’t be far behind. It should be back in the 80’s by the end of the week though which is good as the misses and I need to run up to Vail to get some more stuff out of the town home and get the license tabs for the suburban. We have a few leads on the town home and hopefully it’ll sell.

Obama’s a socialist, enough said. Some I know think he’s a communist.

Christmas decorations and toys are already hitting the stores. I guess they think if they get it out there earlier, they’ll sell more. I don’t know about you but if it doesn’t have some long term value or use, it’s not on our list. No cheap plastic toys from China anymore.

That’s about it from here, time to run and get some exercise in before everyone wakes up. Hope all’s well, take care, get ready as Greece will default any day now (surprised it’s not today!), and prices are going to keep on going up.

God Bless,
