This morning we’re running down the hill for a few errands. We need to pick up Ty’s golf clubs which had some extensions put on, plus we’re stopping at Tina’s for Lori to look through her closet for a derby dress and hat. We should be home mid-afternoon.
Our golf lesson went great! Once Jeff adjusted our grips and stance, I was hitting the driver 240 yards right down the middle. He looked at us both and said, are you sure you two have never golfed before? He told Lori there’s women who have been golfing for years that would kill to hit the ball the way she was. Super fun time. Our buddy Shultz, hearing how well we hit the ball, said “quit now”, as it doesn’t get any better than that, ha. We haven’t learned how to put yet or any of the other things like short game irons but we’re having fun and doing it together which is all we were looking for. Ty has been golfing for a while and of course after hearing that we were, wanted some clubs. I told him I’d split the cost with him which he immediately jumped on. I did offer to buy him a pair of spikeless golf shoes (about $60) too. He and a buddy drove down yesterday and after getting a complete set of nice clubs, which are having the extensions put on now, they went fishing at Sloans Lake.
After golf, we tried the new restaurant in Eagle. Big mistake. Food wasn’t bad, just typical bar food that was really salty. It is a bar type restaurant so not sure why we were surprised.
Ty only owes $1K more on his car! He’s paid off $6000 in addition to his $5000 down payment and doesn’t even have his permanent plate yet! Good for him. He’ll pay it off a week from Friday. Super proud of him. Jag is doing well. We have to sign and pay for his new place he’ll move into this August. Of course, we also pay rent all summer.
What else is going on? Oh, Iran attacked Israel. Most people are oblivious to this and think, oh well. This is a big freakin deal! It could be the start of a global event people. Most people won’t care or even notice though as they’ll have their head buried in their phone watching stupid crap on TikTok. What a World. I’ll leave this alone as I could go on for hours.
That is it, have a great Sunday and get ready, mentally, to write a big check to the govt. tomorrow for not only nothing useful, but for crap you don’t even actually want them to do, nice.
