Winding down

One more day in October. Then it’s on to November. Yesterday Lori and I ran down to Denver to pick up a new truck for Ty. It was actually the same price as a good used one. The highway was closed in Vail due to a hazmat spill so we had to go through Leadville which added a good 30 minutes. The dealer where we do most of our business was all ready for us so we were in and out in 20 minutes. An hour and 30 minutes later we pulled into the school parking lot where Ty was waiting with some buddies. You wouldn’t have believed the smile on his face! His buddies were in awe and within minutes he and them took off. I remember the freedom of having your own wheels for the first time. He drove around for 20 or 30 minutes with them before coming home to shower to go back out to the football game. Then he was gone until 11:40pm. He did fine and is super responsible but I was a little nervous and stayed up until he made it home safely.

It was Halloween so he dressed up for school after basketball. He was a cowboy. Check out his moustache, ha. Today we’ll mess around here before heading down to Denver for the Bocelli concert tomorrow. We’re staying at the Ritz as Melanie got us two rooms. Should be fun but the weather is going to be a little iffy.

Jag went to get a haircut yesterday. Thought we might see him but he had to get back for a class. I’m taking Ty to the auto parts store today to get him some stuff for his truck. He starts his job Monday night and is paying $300 a month towards his car. It’s not the car that’s so expensive, it’s the insurance. Our insurance went up $467 a month with Ty now driving and that’s with a good grade discount. Ugh. That’s like almost $6000 a year!

Biden is now making a fool of himself across the globe rather than just here at home. I’m sure all the World leaders look at him and roll their eyes. It’s so painful to watch. Unbelievable that in 2021 he could even be President.

Time to go, enjoy the weekend, Monday is November! God Bless.
