Here’s a comment from Aunt B, it wasn’t necessary as I know when Uncle T comments, he’s doing so for both of you but good to know you two were together doing the same thing!
Ditto to what Uncle T said!!! LOL
Yesterday I had to run up to Pine Junction which is west of Conifer (for those of you in Colorado) to pick up a gun belt and holster that was repaired about 6 months ago. I just haven’t had the time to go and get it. Tomorrow I’ll hook up with Alan (my buddy who makes saddles, gun belts and anything else out of leather) as he cleaned up my dads old mexican saddle and re-oiled it so we can put it in the house. It’s all beat up and doesn’t even have stirrups but has been around as long as I can remember and we’re just going to set it in the living room for decoration. I made it home by 10am and then loaded the family up to go to Boulder where I had to drop some wine samples. We also ran by the farm and picked up a giant box of radishes, arugula, lettuce, sweet turnips, and kale. Carrots should be coming in about two weeks from now.
We then stopped at an account in Boulder for some lunch and made it home by about 1:30. I decided to clean the house while the misses took the kids to the pool. They made it home about 4pm and I was just finishing up cleaning the downstairs.
After a nice dinner and a little tv as a family, we all headed to bed. It’s now 6:30 and the youngest and I are up. He made a long list of chores he’s going to do each day and to his credit, woke up and made his bed first thing. He’s a good guy. I have the sprinklers going as it’ll be 90 today. We’ll probably be at the pool sometime. It looks like the misses is cleared to go back to work to at least stock shelves or something. They’re giving her the worst shifts like until 10 at night as they’re trying to get her to quit. She’s done anyhow but it’s just kind of shitty that they are trying to force her out. So much for loyalty huh. I’m going to go buy a bunch of staples (cereals, stuff in cans and jars, groceries that’ll last) before we lose our discount. That’s about the only thing we’ll miss, certainly not the paltry $10.50 an hour. Don’t get me wrong, it’s better than nothing but after taxes and other fees, it’s about $6 or $7 an hour and with it being summer, just too tough as babysitters are $10 an hour! The misses will find something else that’ll pay better pretty quick. She already has some feelers out.
Time to run as we have lots going on today although I’m not sure what it is??? Oh well, another nice day in Colorado, enjoy each and every day as once it’s gone, it’s gone!
Take care and God Bless,
