Halfway

Today marks the halfway point of the month. Soon it’ll be April. You know the month that brings May flowers. We’re ready. We had a dusting again last night, not enough to stick to the driveway, just enough to remind us of the season we’re in. Looks like the 70’s in Denver tomorrow, nice. Then Tuesday another little reminder before heading to the 50’s for the rest of the week.

Not sure if we’re going to the gym this morning, probably. Might go to church at 9:30 if we don’t. We’ll see. The baby shower was a good time, so said Marty. Happy we skipped it though. Lori went to get her nails done and I watched some college hoops.

Might run into the Village today as my buddy and his wife, who own a custom leather workshop in Cody Wyoming, are here doing a trunk show at a store. He mostly makes $1500 and up handmade belts but also sells other stuff. They’re now good friends and Lori and I got our belt buckles through them. Robi, you’d love their stuff. The advertise in Cowboys and Indians almost every month. They need a better online presence, but you should check them out. The name of the store is Mercury Leatherworks.

Lori is still sleeping at 6:45. Good for her, she needs it. Tomorrow is St. Patrick’s Day! Get out your green. Neither of us really have much green in our wardrobe. Not really one of those, wear often colors is it.

Check out a few houses we’re looking at, they’re nice and we could swing it and end up with no mortgage payment. Still trying to figure out the next chapter of our lives. We’re taking a trip up to Whitefish in May to check things out. I’ve been doing a bunch of research on everything from taxes to medical care, the year-round weather, local politics, (of course), shopping and more. So far, so good, but no decision just yet. Nice houses up there though and lots of lakes for boating, fishing and recreation. Whitefish is like Aspen was before it was taken over by Gucci, Prada, Louis Vuitton, etc. Lots of great restaurants, art galleries and fun local shops. Also there’s no State income tax in Montana and no vehicle registration fees. The vehicle fees would save us around $7000 a year alone! You don’t realize it, but here in Colorado, and any other State run by Dems, they nickel and dime you to death with taxes on just about everything you buy or do. Not up there. That’s a big attraction. More to come.

That’s it, time to get moving. Have a great March 16th and God Bless.
