Stocking up

Yesterday I picked up about 30 pounds of hamburger, 20 pounds of filets, 15 pounds of short ribs and 15 pounds of sausage. I also grabbed six logs of assorted summer sausage, all for the freezer. Today I’ll get the chickens. While in Denver, I stopped at Kings Soopers to get some canned foods that are much cheaper down there than at Whole Foods up here. Tomorrow I’m headed to the farm in Palisades to pick up a case of Olathe corn, strawberries and other vegetables. Mary, the 86-year-old neighbor at the farm, is canning about 24 jars of peaches for us. She’s a sweetheart and still going strong at 86!

Cooling down up here, and in Denver too. Looks like rain and the high 70’s and low 80’s starting Thursday. It’ll be 95 down there today though. Jag is doing well in California. We talked for about a half hour yesterday as Ava was getting fitted for her bridesmaid dress for a wedding next year. Ty is doing well too.

Lori works in Vail today and tomorrow in Frisco. No visible smoke outside this morning. That’s good news but there are a lot of fires out here in the West.

Thankfully the shine is coming off Kamala. The stock market crashed yesterday, and get this, they’re trying to blame Trump, ha ha. The silly season is in full swing.

Time to get moving, have a great Tuesday and God Bless.
