The misses bday started off with her doing some exercise and then we headed out to the garden. I built our new bed and tilled the soil by mixing in a bunch of good organice dirt. Then the misses came out to do her thing which is plant the plants. This of course was after she cleaned the house so we could have the house cleaned by Elvia which was one of her bday treats. Before we knew it it was about 1pm and time to go get the cake.
Meanwhile I had dropped the youngest at his friends for some play time so on the way home, the three of us picked him up. Next up was Uncle T and Aunt B a and Grandma coming over at 4 to celebrate. Mixed in between was a bunch of calls from some of you and the misses friends wishing her a happy day.
Before we knew it it was 4:45 and we needed to leave for dinner in 45 minutes. We made it downtown to the restaurant by 6:10 to meet our friends. It was a great place and somehow one of our friends had securred a table outside in the courtyard even though the town was packed for the NBA playoff game. Our friends from Iceland and Rollie (the realtor the misses worked for for a short time) had both brought her presents. It seems Rollie had arranged for a big “to do” for her birthday. The food and company were both great and the misses was glad I talked her into going. We finished up with some great gluten free dessert from the restaurant and they even gave the misses a gift certificate to come back. It was a fun time.
We finished up at 8pm and the game was starting at 8:30 so we offered to drop the 4 of our friends at the Pepsi Center where the game was. Lucky I cleaned the car! They’d make their own way back afterwards to their cars. We arrived home just in time for the tip off on tv and in 30 minutes or so, I was the only one left downstairs watching the Nuggets blow out the hated Lakers. It was a bit close in the end but we won by 15.
This morning we’re headed up to the farmers market in Boulder for more fresh veggies, then I’m sure more gardening. Hope everyone is well, take care and have a great weekend.
