April Fool’s Day

Spring is here! Unless it’s an April Fool’s joke. We had some rain yesterday and this week it supposedly going to warm up. If so, soon the mountains will be turning green. There’s a thin layer or dusting of snow outside but nothing you could even shovel.

Jag and Ava were out of here by 11:30 headed home. Ty worked all day and then after coming home, went to spend the night at Madi’s. I watched some basketball and finished off the lamb which was oh so good.

I have a call today at 9 and Lori works in Vail. I think Ty is headed to the mountain as he took his board with him last night.

Hopefully we’re through with any large snowstorms, although you never know. It’d be nice to actually have a Spring as sometimes winter just blends into summer. I’m going to Costco today to stock up on some more supplies.

Water is the number one thing everyone should make sure they have a good supply of. We always keep at least a hundred gallons in the garage. Sounds like a lot, but it’s not. All tap water these days is somewhat contaminated, so is most bottled water, so they say. We have a water delivery service out of Leadville that comes by every two weeks with the 5-gallon jugs. We bought a dispenser we keep in the garage that provides hot and cold water on demand. I might add another 10 jugs so I have 20 or so at any given time but will need to clean out the garage first. We have a lot of Dixie’s stuff to go through and get rid of. I’m also cleaning out the storage unit where I have a lot of Mom’s old furniture, once it warms up. Most of it just needs to go. Don’t really want to get rid of it all, but we’re not using it and probably never will.

Time to get moving. Lori is making us salads as she does every day, for lunch. So tired of politics and what’s happening to us all. It’s surreal as a few years ago, no way you’d think we’d be where we are now. if you agree, try to think where we’ll be in five years and get ready. That’s about all you can do these days.

In closing, the Bible says in Proverbs 27.12, A prudent person foresees danger and takes precautions. The simpleton goes on and faces the consequences. Don’t be the later. The majority of people are walking around with their heads buried in their cell phones and living on social media. Try going a week without getting on social media! Not easy for most people. Impossible for a lot! What a mess. God Bless.
