Around 10, Jag and I took off for Aspen. I returned a coat and swapped a blazer of Lori’s from Ralph Lauren as they accidently put the wrong size in the box. Next up, we returned one of two pair of sunglasses of Lori’s and then headed home. The town was busy with all the glamour and glitz that you’d think is in Aspen. Most of the year it’s not like this, but yesterday the fur coats and fur hats and fancy snow boots and big sunglasses were on full display. Three ladies walked into Ralph Lauren when we were there, and I had to laugh. Jag caught my grin and was chuckling too. The funniest part was, I was in a flannel shirt and jeans and cowboy boots as it wasn’t that cold. Yet these girls, maybe mid 30’s, early 40’s, were dolled up in the aforementioned furs, and big snow boots and hats, like they were in Antartica. I’m sure they were out spending using some guys credit card with no limit. Ah, Aspen in all its glory.
Jag and I had a fun day. He explained shorts, options, puts and other financial strategies and vehicles used in the market, on the drive. Pretty interesting to hear his thoughts. He is on it, no doubt about it.
Today the cleaners come, and we need to head to Costco to get some ribs for dinner tomorrow night. Jagger bought some short ribs yesterday when we were coming back from Aspen and trimmed them up last night. They’re sitting in the fridge, uncovered, right now, in a salt rub to pull the moisture out, or something like that.
Maddie gets back from London tonight so Ty will probably hang with her.
We’re looking at renting a house in either the south of France or on the coast of Italy for a few weeks in May. We’ll all go over right when Jag gets out of school which is around May 6th. More to come on that later.
Cigar night tonight in a renovated 1800’s cabin on Addy’s property which is about 2 miles from James’s place. Can’t wait to see how it turned out. We’ve all been watching the progress for six months.
That’s it, time to go, have a great day and God Bless.
