Well we missed the snow here at the house. The pass and places like Breckenridge though did get snow. It’s warming up steadily today through early next week when it will be 80 degrees on Tuesday in Denver. That translates to about 70 to 75 degrees up here. We’ll take it.
Tax day is Monday. We thought we were all paid up but no, we owe another $12,000 to the Feds. We’ll probably owe a few thousand to the State too, unbelievable. We’re in the 32% tax bracket according to our accountant. That means 32 cents of every dollar we make, or about one third, goes to the government. Throw in local State tax, sales tax on everything you buy, property tax, gas tax, and a few other assorted hidden ones you don’t even know about, and we’re probably paying about 50 cents off every dollar we bring in. Don’t know how this is sustainable. Of course over half the people in the Country pay nothing. Throw in all the illegals now here, and those of us that actually work, have to pay even more. Marty says we should just stop working. Not as crazy as it sounds.
Last night I went to James and dropped Lori off to hang out with Adriana. We made it home a little after 6:30 and watched the Bronco game until around 9. Same old result as the week before. Hopefully we’ll be better next year. We might not keep our season tickets any longer as at $5000 a year and with us living up here plus with the team being so bad, it might be time to let them go.
Tomorrow we’re headed to Boulder for lunch with the kids. I’ll finally get Jagger’s dresser down to him. Monday Lori’s car goes in to get fixed. Probably another two months before the garage is fixed. 6 am now and Ty’s showering and Lori is still sleeping. Time to make him some breakfast. Have a great day and God Bless.
