Well, it didn’t look good in the beginning but about midway through the 3rd quarter, we came to life. We came back from 21 points down to win by 3 and stun the Chicago Bears. Last year our offense sucked, and our defense played pretty well. This year our offense and quarterback are actually playing really well, but our defense sucks. To be fair, we do have a lot of injuries and we do get at least three starters back next week so who knows. In any case, it was a great win and today is a much better Monday than the last three, Go Broncos!
We went to James around 1 for the game and food. Lori took off a little after we arrived to pick up Ty from work and drop him off at the bus in Vail to go to Denver. He said the traffic was brutal as it took them about 4 hours to make the hour and a half trip. The Raiders, James’s favorite team, had a chance to tie it late but ran a bad play and threw an interception to lose the game. Of course, there were also some bad calls by the refs that took away the game too.
Tonight, we’re going to Gerry and Marci’s for wagyu and sushi as they leave to drive back to Florida this Thursday. They have the sushi chef from a good restaurant in Edwards coming to their house to cook for us.
Lori and I are both working from home today and Craig, our landscaper, is coming and planting four large aspen trees this morning.
I think I’m lactose intolerant. It just dawned on me yesterday after having a big bowl of Greek yogurt after the gym. I’m cutting out dairy, so we’ll see. I know carbs and sugar don’t agree with me as when I try to eat carbs, I feel bloated and sometimes nauseous. Guess as you get older you can start to get allergic to some things. Always something.
There’s a freeze warning this week with the low temps forecasted around 25 degrees. It’s just north of us but with us being up on the hill, we’ll probably freeze here too. At least that gets rid of all the wasps and bugs that hit your windshield.
Coming home last night we pulled up on four cows being herded by 2 dogs and a guy on a four-wheeler in the middle of the road. They must have escaped, and he was trying to turn them around and head them back towards the pasture. There are no pastures close, so they made a pretty good break. Funny to see on the road near the house.
Time to get moving and turn on the football channel. When we lose, I don’t do that, ha. Have a great week and God Bless.
