Allergies

It’s so nice and green outside but with all the moisture comes allergies. I always tell Lori I never had allergies until I met her which is actually true! I’ve had a runny and stuffy nose for a good two weeks now. The other day when I drove Ty and Maddie to Denver I made them wear masks as they both had colds and were not feeling well. Looks like Lori caught their crud as she now has a sore throat, stuffy nose and just feels like crap. We’re supposed to go to Greg’s memorial service tomorrow but if Lori is sick, we’ll be passing as there will be too many old people there that could get sick. The boys are not going as Jag has his party in Denver and I’m not getting Ty until Sunday. If we don’t go, I might get him tomorrow but we’ll see.

There was a tornado in Denver yesterday! Super rare occurrence. They’ve been getting hit hard the past couple days while it’s been nice up here. Lori and I always wonder why tornados never hit cities. Guess sometimes they do.

We had cigar night last night as it was James first week back. We had fun and he’s still recuperating. Today he’s headed to his house in Hawaii for some relaxation. He might stay a week or come back in 3 or 4 days. He’ll see how he feels once he gets there. Being on the road for a month and a half isn’t easy and takes a toll on a person. He was glad to be home and to see everyone. Marty and Melanie are headed to Vancouver today to see their oldest son, Mason. They’ll be back Monday. Marty says they’re having a celebration dinner as Mason has decided to not go back to college so Marty is celebrating that he now no longer has to pay for anything as his kid won’t be in school anymore. The rule is, if you’re in school, we’ll support you, if you’re not, you’re on your own. Same in our house.

Really nice outside right now. Blue sky without a cloud to be seen. I purged the pantry of old food as every year or so I rotate our supplies. Yesterday in Basalt Lori found two bedside lamps and a giant mirror for the front entrance. The lamps make our bedroom look like a hotel suite. Can’t believe we went two years without lamps on our nightstands. It makes a really big difference. We also saw Ward who is fixing up 3 more hats for us. We’ll pick them up next week sometime.

Time to put the trash out. Lori wants to go to the gym but I don’t even want to ride in the same car with her, ha. She says she’s fine but she’s not. Have a great weekend and get outside! God Bless.
