Spring forward

We moved our clocks ahead an hour and it’s now 7:35. It’s a little cloudy outside but no new snow. Yesterday the inch we had, was basically all slush so it was real heavy. Lori and I made a Costco run as well as Walmart. Walmart is just gross.

Today it’s the gym and then some cleaning up around here. The Oscars are tonight, (we don’t watch since it went all woke) but we just saw they replaced the red carpet with a champagne carpet. That too has something to do with not offending or pandering to some extremist group, who knows, who cares.

We can’t wait to go to Arizona! Super excited. So are the boys!

We found out yesterday that Greg Erwin, our friend from Aspen, passed away. If you remember, he was the first attorney with a trillion dollars worth of securities under him, which were basically derivatives. He single handily invented them. Greg was a brilliant guy who came from humble beginnings, a lot like dad. He though was from Nebraska, not Kansas. He battled a bad case of Parkinson’s for years. You might remember, they sent Jagger to a seminar when he was 15 or so, down in Texas, for future leaders. He was worth over a billion dollars, easy. There’s a celebration of life in Aspen June 24th. We’ll all go. He loved talking with the boys. He’ll be missed. We talked with his wife Billie yesterday and she’s doing fine as it was kind of expected. She kept him alive a good ten years past what he would have lived. Sort of like what Lori has done with Dixie.

Speaking of Dixie, she had a bad day mentally. She was in martyr mode and kept saying she didn’t feel wanted and wanted this and that. Lori went to bring her up to the house, which is what she wanted, only to be spurned and told that no, “nobody wants me, I’m not going”. You just have to roll with it, she’ll be 92 in about 3 weeks.

Time to go. Enjoy your Sunday. God Bless.
