Lori and I went to Denver yesterday to look for costumes. We came up with a few ideas but didn’t buy much. We did order some things off Amazon, more to come on this in the coming days. On the way home we stopped at James to hang out for a couple hours with him and his assistant Ray who is visiting from California until tomorrow. I’ve known Ray for 4 years or so. Somehow, we got on the subject of the price of concert tickets. I think we were talking about how expensive Elton John tickets were. Ray said fuck that and that the long-time production manager for Elton was a huge fan of the band and said, let me text him and see what’s up. By the time we made it home, Ray texted me saying we’re all taken care of by Elton. Whoo hoo, looks like we are going to the show after all as guests of EJ and at no charge. Fun. We’re super excited for the boys to see him and Ray said we should have killer seats. Good to know people who know people, right?
We had good rain last night but no snow, we’ll take it! Think we’ll hit the gym and then watch football. I have a routine colonoscopy Tuesday am so not much food today and none tomorrow after 10am. Good news is by noon Tuesday I’ll have lost 5 to 7 pounds! Another whoo hoo!
Ty’s going to the game today. Looks like our QB isn’t playing. We’ll see how that goes. Right now it can’t be worse than what’s been happening.
Now for the big news of the day, It’s Robin’s birthday! WHOO HOO HOO! I think she’s 64 although I still think of her as somewhere in her 40’s at most. I think she said they’re going to one of their favorite bars to watch football. We sent her a pecan pie from Brazos Texas that was voted the best pecan pie in the World. This is the second year we’ve sent one as she likes it. I wanted one but didn’t trust myself with my colonoscopy coming up, ha. Have a great day sweet little sister! Pop quiz!
