All done!

It was a great day and a great evening. Most of the day was spent getting ready to go to graduation but I did go get the beef ribs at 6am in Denver. It was a quick trip as I was home by 10 before the boys even woke up!

Around 3:30 we headed out and even though we had to park in the parking structure in town and take the shuttle bus to the event, there was almost no one on the bus! That’s how late we were, ha. We did get seats and soon it all began. The ceremony was only about 90 minutes long and enjoyable. All the kids looked great. After it was over we took some pictures and headed out to Beaver Creek for dinner. Jag, Lori and I made it to the restaurant about 30 minutes before Ty and ordered up some appetizers. All the while we were listening to the hockey game. Now this is going to sound weird but it’s 100% fact. I’ve predicted the score of the last 4 hockey games perfectly before the any of the games started. One of them I had the winner wrong, hmmm, but still had the score right. I told Tom last night we were going to win 3 to 2 at the start of the game and sure enough with 5 seconds left in the game, we scored giving us a 3 to 2 victory and a win in the series. I decided if I was betting money though, I’d probably be 0 and 4. Anyhow it was a great game and we’re all thrilled the Av’s won.

Dinner was great. Ty had to rush out at 9 to pick up Zoe as all the kids had to be at the after party by 10pm and couldn’t leave early until it was over. This was a school sanctioned event. Rules were in by 10, out at 1. I guess they extended it until 2am but all was great and all the kids were safe. You always hear stories of some poor kids getting in a crash or something bad right after graduation. The school wanted to make sure that didn’t happen up here. They had raffles and gave away big time prizes, had a top dj and other stuff the kids would think was cool. It was $25 a kid but that’s nothing to make sure all are safe and sober. Ty made it home around 2am as Lori woke up and made him food. Some things never change.

So both our boys are out of school. In the Fall it’ll just be Lori and me, empty nesters. She’s already looking at adopting a stray dog, noooo! Good news is both boys are in State and close and will come home often. We’re really happy about that!

This weekend we’re just hanging out. We will have a bbq on Monday. First up is heading to the gym. Time to get moving. Hope all’s well. Enjoy the day and be thankful for all those who have served and pray for those that are. Make it a great weekend. God Bless.
