Christmas 2021. Hard to believe it’s already here. Christmas is one of those days that stick in your memory no matter who you are. We all have memories of when we were kids or with our children when they were young or parents when they were old. It’s magical and should be as it celebrates the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Enjoy the day and cherish the moment with loved ones and friends.
Last night we were having Dixie and our cousin Lee and Margret up for dinner. Around 4 Dixie decided she didn’t feel like it and a few minutes later Lee texted he had a 100 degree fever! So, our party of 8 (James was stuck at home) tuned into just us four. Lori made a great dinner of ham, crab, caviar, potato’s, green beans and more which we all enjoyed. Our herd of deer outside have been chowing down on bird seed and carrots for days. Here’s a couple pictures below of the big buck who’s in charge! He again tore down a strand of lights with his majestic antlers. We live in one of the top hunting units in the State which is super hard to draw for. In any case, he’s safe in our yard!
This morning we’ll get Dixie around 8 or 9 and bring her up for the festivities. We had good snow yesterday, probably a foot and a dusting overnight as well. It took a lot of shoveling yesterday and then Craig our landscaper drove by and plowed a bit before Brian our neighbor finished it off with his smaller 4 wheeler.
We hope you all are well. We couldn’t make it to Tom’s yesterday but it sounds like he’s in good hands and we’ll try tomorrow. Best wishes for a wonderful Christmas and a happy New Year! God Bless.
