Yesterday posed a few big challenges. First, getting the five beds changed which actually was going quite well until…I was cleaning the guest bath and after I turned off the water I could still hear water running somewhere. I ran upstairs thinking perhaps I forgot to turn off the bath water, but thankfully my faculties are in fact in tact and I had turned off the water. I called Handsome Husband and he suggested calling a plumber right away. I did. Then I checked everything upstairs and upon walking into the downstairs bath/laundry room I found the water. Â Unfortunately it was not the sink water. Â Water was pouring from the ceiling on to the washing machine…Uggh! I now have the plumber on speed dial, after our New Years cellar flood and now this one. Bob, the plumber got here in less than an hour and my investigating of said leak lead us to the culprit…the guest bath tub. An hour and a half and $200 later all was right and ready for our weekend guests. Yeah!
The boys both had great days at school.  The oldest is working on a project “Movie Maker” and actually made a film at school.  The content included everything that was happening t school yesterday. He is very excited about the project as are we. The youngest did not miss any of his spelling words on his test and is of course proud of that.  The skates were put on immediately after arriving home and remained hat way until the boys went across  the street for 2 hours while my husband and I joined Zio Lolo for a wine tasting at an Art Gallery downtown. Home by 8…stopped in at our neighbors with kids in tow for his 70th birthday bash.  In bed by 9.
The Lab needed to go out at 3a.m. and my husband reluctantly volunteered to go downstairs and let her out. After she didn’t immediately return to the door he went out to investigate…no dogs! The power company was here yesterday and although I told them to make sure the gate was closed when they were finished, they failed to do so. Both dogs were M.I.A. and my man called me downstairs for reinforcement. We went out front and called to them and of course they came running home with tails wagging, and I am sure they were both grinning from ear to ear. Happy to have them back we headed upstairs as our oldest was heading downstairs. I made him a warm cup of milk and we insisted he go back to bed…3:40a.m. Oh yeah, it was 6a.m. when the roller skates started circling my bed.
Time to start a new day…we may all need naps today.
