Powers out

Last night about 2:45 am I woke up with the wind howling outside loud enough so I had to shut the windows. There was thunder and lightning and right after I went back to sleep, apparently Mojo peed downstairs. So Lori, who let me sleep, cleaned it up mostly in the dark. It’s 6:15 am now and it’s still out. Luckily I’m one of those prepared guys who has a flashlight by my bed and a lantern close by. Lori lit the stove with a match and made us coffee which we’re enjoying in silence. Even in the dark, Lori still looks pretty!

Yesterday Lori, Jag and I went to the farmers market in town. Jag met up with Zach and Lori and I walked around. When we were leaving, we decided to go over to Breckenridge as Jag has been wanting his ear pierced for a while. So we drove over and when we arrived, found out it’s State law that he has to have an id with him. I tried to talk my way around this but the little girl who was the only licensed ear piercer in Summit County said her hands were tied. Jag was bummed as he’d been thinking and talking about this for a while, so I decided, what the hell, we’d drive home, get his license and drive back and so that’s what we did. It was still early enough in the afternoon so we’d be home by dinner.

We made it back to Breck and decided to order some Thai food from a restaurant across the street so we had it to go. Then it was time to get his ear poked! It wasn’t a big deal and was so fast we almost missed it but he was happy and hey, Lori and I both did it when we were young so who were we to say no. The little girl (probably in her late 20’s) wanted a picture with Jag because he was so tall so here ya go. (She was really short too) We did make him promise no tattoos or other piercings! It’s hard to see but in this picture it’s on the right side.

Lori’s making french toast for breakfast by lantern light and the sun is coming up. Time to get moving, have a great week and God Bless.
