Not so sunny Seattle

It’s foggy and drizzly up here which is expected in Seattle in January. I landed without incident around 10am and headed to the office. We had a good day of work until about 5pm when I went over to check into my Airbnb about 4 blocks away. For those of you that don’t know, Airbnb is where you rent like an apartment or space in someone’s home. I found a quaint beach house with the basement for rent for $80 a night. It was built in like the 1940’s and the couple upstairs are nice and went to the University of Colorado years ago. Still it’s not the Marriott! The tv doesn’t work and the ceiling is so low I have to hunch over everywhere I walk, but it was only for one night and close to the office.

Today I’ll work until about 1:30 and then head to the airport with Brian. He fly’s back to Phoenix and I’m of course headed home to Denver.

The big inauguration is today. Of course the sore loser folks will try to disrupt it I’m sure. Nice, really nice. Again, how would they react if we all would have acted this way when Obama was elected. Guess we know who the adults in the room (or Country) are.

I found out last night that Lori fell on the ice when she brought me my wallet the other morning. She of course landed on her shoulder. The did an ultrasound to make sure the screws and stuff were ok in her should and luckily they are. Everything happens when I leave town!

I woke up at 4:45 which is 5:45 in Colorado so technically, I slept in! I have two more hours to kill here with no tv before my partner Kay (pronounced Ki, with a long i) picks me up. If it was up to me, I’d be at work already.

Jag has a game tonight and I’ll miss it. I think it’s in Kremmling and then another tomorrow in Hotchkiss. Not sure about that one as I need to take the rental car down and swap it out for Lori’s car which is all fixed.

Guess I’ll run, hope all is well, have a good day and great weekend and God Bless.
