Friday, thankfully

Yesterday the first real snow of the year arrived. It isn’t that deep but did close the pass for most of the day and night and there were several other accidents going west from Vail. Between downtown Vail and our exit, there’s a stretch of highway called Dowd Junction. People, especially those that don’t live here, always go too fast into the turns and ultimately crash. Yesterday was no different as a truck rolled over and ended up on its roof closing it down. So both east and west bound Vail were shut down meaning if you were in town, as we were (the boys and I at basketball and Lori at the hospital) you were stuck! Luckily they cleared the overturned truck up fairly quick and we made it home around 6:30pm. Lori strolled in about an hour later. Dr C is off to Hawaii for a week so it’ll be an easier day today for Lori. Yesterday was his birthday and I stopped by and said hi when I had physical therapy. I told him he needs to fix Lori’s neck which he’ll somehow get done. It’ll just take time.

Today is the last day of school for 9 days. Both boys have tests. It’s cold outside but not too bad as I went out barefoot to feed Mojo. It’s supposed to warm up a bit but not a whole lot. I made chili yesterday as I said which was good. It’s funny watching the news in Denver saying it’ll be pretty chilly in Denver with a high of 40 degrees. Up here it’ll be half that if we’re lucky.

No politics today, really, zero, nada, zip. Have a good day, GB
