That’s right, today we’re half way through the 7th month of the year. For those of you math wizards, that means we have 170 days left until January 1st 2015!
Yesterday after shipping 27 boxes of wine, I took the boys to the pool for some much needed exercise. They had lots of fun and we all made it home a little after 5pm. I need to ship another 6 or so boxes today but first the car goes into the shop. Then I have a few conference calls for employee reviews and lots of other paperwork as well.
I did receive one comment from Annette yesterday, thanks. I think she is closest to my way of thinking as far as how we see our Country and the obstacles we face. I know most of ya’ll in Colorado think the same too but am not so sure about the rest of you in California. I’m reading an interesting book that you all should read. Go out and get James Howard Kunstler’s book, The Long Emergency and read it, it’s not really political (so no one will be offended) but rather talks about the end of fossil fuel and how our country will look in the future. He points out that in all other countries but ours, small towns and cities are still alive and how our technological advancements have resulted in the massive growth of suburbia (and death of rural America) which will eventually end up as ghost towns once fossil fuels dry up. And believe me, they will dry up! It’s quite an interesting read from a universally respected historian/economist that everyone should read.
Time to get moving, lots to do and it’s almost 7am. They say we’re in for severe weather today and tomorrow. Hope it misses us. Take care and God Bless.
