Back at it

Nice day yesterday. The kids left for Boulder a little after noon and stopped to see Ty on the way home. I watched a bunch of football on and off while doing some stuff around the house. I guess there’s an inch or two of snow in Vail, but nothing but a little rain here. Looks like mid to high 60’s all week. That means we’ll probably see the 70’s.

A couple more shootings in Denver. Glad we’re not down there. Lori works in Vail today and I have a call at 9 to start my day. Lots going on.

I need to call Ty today to see if he can come down so we can get some seat covers for his truck. We’re also looking at tonneau covers for the back of the truck. Winter could be coming on fast now.

We’re waiting for our Halloween costumes to arrive in the mail. The party is this coming Saturday. Hope they get here. The CU game is also at 8:15! I hate the late games.

Marty is still recovering. It’s not going as fast as he thought it would. We knew it’d take some time as it was a big surgery.

Robi’s birthday is Wednesday! That means it’s her birthday week!

We voted yesterday. There should be a law so they can’t use misleading language in the proposed statutes. For example, there’s one to change the constitution to make abortion legal in Colorado (which it is already), but the fine print says taxpayer money can be used to pay for it. Now I’ve always been pro-choice, but I’m not excited about paying for it. Another says stop mountain lion and lynx hunting. There is no lynx hunting in Colorado, never has been. But the people that want to stop mountain lion hunting think that lynx are cuter than mountain lions. It also says that mountain lion hunting is trophy hunting when most is by ranchers to stop them from killing their cattle. Then it says all meat is thrown away while the current law says all lion meat must be prepared for consumption to be eaten. This goes on and on with all the initiatives where they twist words to make things sound different than they really are. They know if they used plain language, stuff would never pass. I think we should release some mountain lions in downtown Denver and Boulder and for good measure, throw in some wolves too. Then you’d see these things be voted on fairly.

Oh well, time to go. Almost 7 and time to get to the gym. God Bless.
