24,6,1

Today is our 24th anniversary. 24 years, six months and one day ago, I met the kindest, sweetest, most caring and obviously, most beautiful woman in the World. Still not sure how I lucked out. On top of all her endearing qualities, she also turned out to be the best mother our boys could have ever hoped for. It’s been an unbelievable journey, which I hope continues for another 24 years!

Now to yesterday. Thankfully we did go for lunch instead of dinner, as on the way home, we hit the forecasted storm. By the time we made it home, it was coming down. We didn’t get a lot of snow, maybe an inch last evening, but it was wet. We have more this morning with a few inches of wet frozen, blanket type snow that is on the truck but only half the driveway. I think we’ll be in this Spring wet snow pattern most of the week, where it switches back and forth between snow and rain.

It was great to meet Guiseppe and we had a really nice lunch. He’s a great guy and will be a good partner and friend. He and his husband, who was a highly regarded international business lawyer and was going to become a magistrate (judge), decided to check out from the rat race and move back to their family’s land and the rest is history. That was 2017. They own one of the top estates (vineyards) in all of Italy with tons of international accolades. He carried a signed magnum of one of their wines (#82 of 200) as a gift for me which he gave me at lunch. Super grateful.

At 7:30 we’re off to drop Ty at the airport here in Eagle for his flight to Denver and then to Bozeman. The flight is delayed like an hour due to the snow. We’re all excited for him to go hang with Sonny and Will for the week. He’s been really working hard, and it’ll be a fun break. Jag and Ava made it to San Clemente and are doing well. Our kids are basically adults now, even though we still see them as kids. Thankfully there’s times each day or so, when they still need help in some way, from Mom and/or Dad. Not sure how we’ll feel when they stop calling us, ha.

I was going to Grand Junction after dropping Ty but will put that off until tomorrow. Lori might go into work for a bit. We’ll probably hang out tonight, maybe go grab a bite somewhere, but we try to avoid restaurant food when we can.

That is it. Time to go kiss my lovely bride and tell her I love her! Have a great day and God Bless.
