Happy Fathers Day to all the dads out there. Undoubtably the best thing a dad can do in life is be there for his kids, no matter what. It’s a responsibility to have kids and one of the big problems in today’s World is all the men who are not living up to that responsibility. The number of single mom homes, especially in minority communities, is staggering.
Arguably the single best thing I’ve done in my life, besides marrying the love of my life, is our two boys. They’re both kind, well adjusted young men who will make the World a better place. For me, that’s what this day is about. Recognizing how blessed I am to have such a great family. I’m a lucky man.
Yesterday after the gym, we loaded up the truck and headed to our favorite Mexican restaurant in Basalt about an hour away. We had fun and were home around 4 or so. Looks like the rain is all gone as the sky is blue without a cloud to be seen. We might go to the Westin, as we have a summer membership, and hang at the pool, we’ll see.
Maddie comes up today. Her dad is moving to Eagle Vail and she’ll be, I think, staying with us until Wednesday. Should be fun to get to know her better. Ty pulled weeds for the past two days to earn some money. Kid needs a job.
Time to go, Happy Fathers Day Dad! Make it a great day and God Bless.
