TGIF

Yea! Friday, whoo hoo. It’s also the last day of September, wow! 3 months left in the year. Lots of things to get done in the next 92 days before 2023. It will go fast, kind of surreal.

Lori has a 6:30am meeting at the hospital so we’re up and moving here at 4:40am. Marty’s kid, Max, has surgery this morning on his twice dislocated shoulder. He checks in at 7 so I’ll head to the gym at 5:30 and then go hang with Marty. Last night we went to James for cigar night. He wasn’t home but I have a key and he’s fine with us using the place so about six of us went to hang out for a bit. My buddy Steve’s team leader in Afghanistan bought a farm in South Carolina when they came back 8 years ago and is growing some tobacco and is rolling his own cigars. He sent some up to Steve for us to try so I took him with me to meet the guys and we tried them. They were actually really good smokes. It was fun to get Steve out too as he doesn’t know a lot of guys. He’s still in the military and also owns Alpine Arms, (our local shop) up here but is still in the Army for a few more years. He’s a member of Group 19 which are today’s version of Green Beret’s. We’re close friends. He was super thankful I took him and had fun. So was his girlfriend Angela as she didn’t have to cook dinner and was happy I took him to hang out with the guys.

They say rain is coming, nothing yet. Jag is going to Aspen for the weekend and is stopping by Sunday on the way back to Boulder.

Lori should be home by 9 or 10 as I think she’s coming right home after her meeting. The house is spotless as the cleaners were here yesterday. Another shooting in Denver, man, it’s crazy down there. Keep your head on a swivel. God Bless and have a great weekend.
