Here we go, we’re officially in the back half of 2022. Years ago, maybe in the 90’s or even if you thought about it in the year 2000, we all had visions or ideas of what life would be like in 2022. Just what would the future be made of? Flying cars, space travel, maybe even teleporting like on Star Trek! What none of us thought of was how the people would change. It’s hard to believe these days how people treat each other. Many, if you don’t agree with them, ostracize, shun and even want to harm you, while others just want to live and let live. I think the majority of us just want to live and let live. Personally, I think we’re nearing the end of what I call the “Woke Joke”. Let’s hope so as it’s hard to find a lot of good that’s come out of this movement. Thinking back, it started, or was exploited when the whole Geroge Floyd thing happened. Some clever people used other people to enrich themselves with money and power. It’s amazing how everyone from individuals to corporations fell in line and went along, no questions asked. I’m sure in the future they’ll teach classes on this time in history, and books will be written on the subject. Neither will probably look kindly on the events of the day. Let’s pray the back half of 2022 bring us back to a time of togetherness and civility that’s needed. Hope it happens but we continue to prepare as if it won’t. We desperately need a change in leadership as those in power (Democrats) continue to exploit and use their positions to stay in power. We need a good electrical storm that can wipe out all social media for a while!
Now to our corner of the World. Ty went camping last night. Hope he didn’t get flooded out as it rained hard most of the night. Jag has a final this morning and Lori and I are headed to the gym. Five of us went to James house last night to sit on his deck and have a cigar and then sent him pictures which we knew he’d love. He’s in Paris and the entire band has been locked down as one of the guys (not James) tested positive for covid. They had to cancel the show in Belgium today and we’ll see about Madrid coming up in a couple days.
It’s really green outside due to all the rain with clouds hanging over the valley below creating an eerie misty blanket. Not sure what we’re doing for the three-day weekend. We’d like to go to Aspen but don’t want to get caught on the other side of the canyon if it ends up getting closed due to one of the daily afternoon storms. We’ll see, maybe tomorrow. Lori had a massage at the Westin yesterday to try to help her headache. Seems like it never ends. Have a great weekend and get outside! We had a deer show up this morning and eat the rest of Lori’s flower baskets on the back deck. She is not happy! Time to get moving as Lori just woke up. Be well, stay safe and God Bless.
