Here we go, today finals begin, assuming we can get to school. Like clockwork the wind started blowing hard at 5am. It’s blowing so hard it blew our Adirondack chairs across the back patio. Their swirling winds making it hard to see outside. I’m sure we’re getting 50 mile an hour gusts right now. Not sure if we can get to school and really doubt that Lori can get over Vail Pass to Frisco. With storms coming from the west, what we have going on here hasn’t hit Vail yet. We’ll see where we are in an hour.
Last night at 2 I heard some banging outside. I jumped from my bed to see what was the matter, I opened the door to find a large buck standing next to the house eating a frozen pumpkin sitting on Mom’s old milk can. He was banging his antlers against the house as he was eating the pumpkin. I picked it up and threw it out in the front yard where he was waiting patiently to finish his midnight snack. Not sure where he is now but I’m sure they are all bedded down somewhere with this weather.
Ten days until Christmas! Things will start moving fast. Time to get moving so I can see what we’re going to do. Take care, be safe and if you’re in Colorado, batten down the hatches. God Bless.
