Coffee!

Man is coffee good! After waking each morning we feed the dogs and then start the coffee. We use a European manual coffee maker where we put fresh coffee in the bottom and put it on the stove and let the water boil up through the grounds and percolate to the top. It’s simple but provides us a fresh cup every morning. Then we add some cinnamon and collagen/protein powder and top it off with a splash of Half and Half and we’re good to go. Lori usually has two cups while I start with one. To be fair I drink probably six cups a day while she has two, maybe three at the most. Aren’t you glad you now know this! Yum.

I was in Denver over at Park Meadows by 8:30am. Next up was the bank at 9am sharp, a drive by at the dry cleaner and then Edwards in Wheat Ridge for steaks before heading up the hill. I was home by 11:30. Ty was doing homework and Jag was heading to the gym. Lori was at the office which is rare on a Friday.

We have the sliding door open from our bedroom now at 6:15 which shows you how warm it is going to be today. Lori needs to plant some flowers that have been in trays for a good week or so. Now the good news, no more masks! About time. Thank God Biden is falling in the polls as that forced them to announce this which should have been announced months ago. Think about it, nothing changed except gas went way up, crime is rampant, unemployment is rising even though there are help wanted signs everywhere, the border is being overrun and their international handling of the Middle East has it one second away from a full blown war. They needed something good they could announce to distract us. The same morning they announced no more masks, they said we’d need to wear them for at least another month. Wow.

Back to the bubble, Katie, Jag’s girlfriend, came up last night. Ty is running the clock at the lacrosse game this afternoon since he can’t play and Lori and I are headed to the gym. Some brief good news from our accountant. Since sales were down last year due to the virus, we don’t owe any more taxes Monday and our June 15th payment went down about 40%! Bitter sweet but we’ll take it. Tomorrow we’re having a few friends over for a bbq. That’s it, time to get moving. Make it a great weekend and go to a store where they don’t require you to wear a mask! It’ll take a few days for them to get it together and sadly some still will require them but it’s a start. Do your part to exercise your freedom. God Bless.
