Of course no one cares about this but Tom and I but to us, it’s a big deal! Ty’s excited and Jag a little bit but that’s about it. It starts at 6 pm local time and we have the 5th pick.
Yesterday Ty and I took Harley to meet our trainer. There were 3 other dogs working there which meant all forms of Shutzhund. The dogs there were amazing in the way they would obey commands, search out people and then bark and hold the “attacker” or bad guy until given a command to back down. This sport, or way of life for these dogs, actually makes them safer than normal dogs. There was one dog 15 months old that was half Czech and half German that came from a line of border dogs meaning the dogs that would walk and patrol borders. Then a 4 year old male from Germany and an Italian Corso that was all muscle and even pulled it’s owner/handler off his feet. Harley watched and barked and did a few basic things which everyone there was amazed at. I wasn’t sure why they were so amazed as it appeared to me that she was just jumping and attacking certain toys but I guess they said that’s what she’s supposed to do and most pups don’t have those inbred traits. Anyhow we go back next Wednesday to continue socializing and beginning to train. She did have fun and was worn out after we left.
Ty and I made it home just in time to pick up Jagger from school. He has a big math test today. Ty went to basketball but Jag stayed home to study for a big test today. He wants to go to school early today.
That’s it, they’re shutting the water off around here in an hour as there was a break in a pipe a few blocks away so time to get showered. Have a great day and God Bless and Go Broncos!
