This morning it’s a bit busier than usual. I have to go to Boulder for a few appointments and it’s clinic day at work for Lori. All the girls at work had laser treatments yesterday on the new Halo Laser. I guess when something new comes along, they all volunteer to be guinea pigs. Lori’s face is pretty red and she said it burned for an hour and a half but some of the other girls still had burning faces 4 hours later. All I could think was no thanks!
We have baseball practice after school from 4 to 6 and then it’s supposed to snow tonight but just a couple of inches.
We’ve been looking on line at houses and it’s tough to find something that we like a whole lot more than our house for a reasonable price. Our accountant did validate our plan financially on moving though as we’ll get a 100% tax exemption on any profits. The O’Connell’s are moving too. They live a few houses from us and have been there since I was a kid. We visited yesterday and they were thrilled I came over as they don’t have a clue what to do or what to sell for. They’re now going to raise their price a bit (thank God I went over!) and have a few things for us and the boys that they insist we have. They’re moving across town to a retirement community that’s closer to their kids. They’re really nice people that always enjoy us coming over, especially the boys. The old neighborhood just isn’t what it used to be. When we moved in our kids were the “little kids” on the block but now they’re the oldest and there’s lots of really young kids on the street. Lori and I are now also the “old parents” with most of the neighbors being 15 or 20 years younger than us, so time to go!
So the search goes on. We could end up anywhere from a mile to 15 miles away. We hope some new things will come on the market as Spring approaches. Hopefully lots of people are thinking the same as us.
That’s about it, time to run, it’s 6:30 now and we need to get moving. Take care and God Bless!
