Good morning,  once again we are awake entirely too early….5:10. I awoke to the sound of crackling paper. After I came downstairs it was no surprise when I turned on the light I found our four legged friend…the one with the doggy eating disorder…chowing down on graham crackers. She had silently opened the pantry door and strategically opened the box, taken out a sealed package of graham crackers and opened the package to enjoy her spoils. Lacey is really quite amazing…the inner graham cracker package looked as if she opened it with a box knife. I don’t know about you, but I have to use scissors to open those packages.
Tonight is the Hollywood Stars Dance. I’m really excited, because the decorations are going to be amazing…I think. Â We have two 8 ft. Oscar Statues to adorn the entrance…we even have giant up lights to cast a Hollywood shadow on Oscar…both of them. Â We have a 40ft red carpet runner and stantions with red velvet ropes. I had a banner made that the Mr. is kindly picking up for me today, and the banner will be the backdrop for the red carpet photos. We have a projection of the Hollywood Hills and the famous Hollywood sign that we will project up on the stage. Aime and I went to the wholesale floral place and bought live palm leaves to attach to our palm tree trunks, and 50 red roses for .32 cents per stem. We have red feather plumes, white plumes, black plumes, faux diamonds to scatter around, battery operated tea lights, pearls and real table lines…black of course. I’m excited to see it all come together, and I will take many photos and post them.
The oldest is wearing his suit today. The kids and teachers are encouraged to dress up and we have a costume contest for the teachers during, school and the kids contest is during the dance. Hopefully we won’t be flooded out!
Rain, rain go away. I’m happy to have all the moisture, but enough is enough. According to the Mr. the ditch behind our pool is now 25ft wide. That is really scary…..Here is the Mr. to fill you in on the flooding and the rain…glad we don’t live in a flood plane especially since the media is beginning to call this a 100 year flood.
Lots going on but at least no rain is in our house. I’m sure it’s under it though! If it was 30 degrees cooler we would have had 10 feet of snow, that’s how bad it is. We’re even on the Today Show, whoo hoo. Time to run, no politics as we’re too busy preparing for the collapse of the economy, ha ha.
God Bless
