The snow is falling at a steady pace. Â The temperature is supposed to get down to 21 degrees tonight…Oh how I hope the Cottonwood trees freeze their buds off. Â Although, they say, “If you don’t like the weather in Colorado wait five minutes,” it still feels very strange to wake up on May 1st to falling snow. The snow is heavy and wet and it is sticking to the tree branches…beautiful.
The oldest had practice after school for the Talent Show. Â When I got to school to pick him up he asked that I wait outside while he finished up. Â One of the parents at the school has volunteered every year to be in charge of the Talent Show including volunteering to hold practice twice a week. Â We have the most supportive group of parents. When the oldest was done with practice we headed home to finish up homework and get ready for the WFCO meeting and wine tasting.
The kiddos said, “Bye Mom, love you” and walked down to Uncle T. and Aunti B’s for the evening. Â The Mr., Lorenzo and I got in our SUV and traveled slowly in traffic to our friends palatial dream home. Â We arrived early enough to help finish all the preparations before the rest of the 2o something ladies arrived. Â We had a productive meeting and the Mr showered me with wonderful compliments. Â Lorenzo and the Mr. were the hit of the night as always. Â The women soaked up every little word that rolled off their tongues. Â The wines were fabulous as always (I believe most of the ladies ordered wine) and the two gentlemen were captivating. Â The men were so captivating in fact that the women who usually leave right on time stayed an extra hour plus. Â I called Aunti B. to let her know that we wouldn’t be there to pick up the boys until 9:30 or so. Â Thank you Uncle T. and Aunti B. for hanging in there with our ever changing schedule.
The Nuggets won last night, so the Mr. and Uncle T. are ecstatic….we now have to win in Oakland.
I’ve got to run to make breakfast and get this snowy day started.
God Bless
