Honey Badger!

I’ve been forgetting all week long to post about the honey badger we have living here at the house. The name came as sometimes they can be sweet and other times, they can be really mean. It’s easy to tell if you watch one which mood they’re in but they can turn on a dime. Best to keep your guard uo when a honey badger is around.

Ty is in! Yesterday we found out he has a dorm room at college! Now is the mad rush to get everything together to move him in Tuesday. I’m in the dark as to where to even go. All I know is we’re in. We’ll figure it out today.

Dixie came up for a bit yesterday and was super confused. We watched a little of True Grit with John Wayne and she did recognize that. It was filmed in 1969 over in Ridgeway about 150 miles from here so I recognize the country well. I want a ranch over there bad! I’m giving myself a 4 year goal to make $4 million dollars. Shoot for the starts and hit the moon! Lori and Jag dropped her off at her place and she was super mean to Lori, even telling one of the other residents that Lori was a bitch! When you have dementia, at some point there’s an angry stage. It’s just part of the progression of the disease. Still kind of shocking to have your 91 year old mom call you a bitch, ha. Lori and Jag then went for sushi at Matsu.

Earlier in the day Jagger had a good meeting with one of the principals of a private equity real estate group up here who is going to help Jag get introduced to a few groups in Denver or Boulder as an intern. It’s great that our small community and the people who live up here will help the kids who grew up here.

Today we’re headed to the range for some practice after the gym. Then we’ll start tackling Ty’s list of stuff that he needs to take to college. He has a meeting Wednesday morning at the business school to select his classes. Soon Lori and I will be empty nesters. We’ve sort of been that way for a bit anyhow as Jag has been in Boulder and Ty is usually gone and we don’t see him much anyhow. Still, it will be different. Think we’ll travel some, if we can afford it, ha.

Broncos tonight at 6! Tom asked what I did with the tickets, and I still had them so we gave them to his friend John who will go.

Time to go, make it a great day and weekend, God Bless.
